To achieve the best results, it is best to follow the prep and aftercare instructions detailed below.

-Please do not work out the day of the procedure.
-Three days before your procedure, avoid taking Aspirin, Fish Oil, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen or blood thinners, unless medically necessary. Tylenol is fine.

-No waxing, threading, or tinting within one week of your appointment.
-2 to 3 weeks before procedure, do not have any chemical peels, microdermabrasions, mesotherapy, botox, fillers, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation.
-You must be off Accutane or any prescribed acne medications for 1 year.
-You must be off Retin-A or Retinols 7 days prior to appointment.
-DO NOT USE growth enhancement products (such as Latisse, Revitabrow, Grande lash) one month prior.
After the treatment
@ EYEBROWS @
After the procedure, the brows will appear darker and thicker than expected. The top layer of your skin will go through a natural healing process of scabbing and peeling. When this starts, DO NOT pick, peel, scratch, rub, or pull on the scabs. Once healing is complete the color will soften and settle into the appropriate shade. In total, it should take about two (2) weeks for your new eyebrow tattoos to shed completely and appear natural.
Days 1 & 2
When you get home clean the brows with a cotton pad and some water in a patting motion.
Apply a thin layer Tattoo healing ointment 2x a day.
Gentle cleanser may be used (avoid alcohol based, anti-aging acids or acne acids).
You may put a cold pack to reduce swelling - 10 mins for every couple of hours. Swelling should subside within 24 hrs
Avoid strenuous activity.
Do not wet the brows, clean around it, pat dry.
Days 3 - 5
Eyebrows should start its peeling process.
**For oily skin, you will not use this and dry heal for the remainder of the process
DO NOT scrub, rub, wipe, scratch or pick at the area. This will increase the risk of scarring.
Do not get the brows wet - pat dry with cotton pad.
Days 6 - 10
Brows will be itchy, try not to touch.
Brows may be wet but do not expose the area to full pressure of shower. Pat dry after shower.
When the last scab falls off, your healing process is finished.
You may put makeup over the brows after
2 weeks post op
Use sunblock to protect the brows from fading.
Avoid swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water.
Do not expose tattoo in contact with animals, gardening activities, germs or dirt.
@ EYELINER @
Since eyes are naturally moist there's no need to apply Vaseline or Ointment.
If eyes stick together or need a bit of moisture you may use artificial tears.
Keep the eye area clean at all times, be careful with sweating.
NEVER rub, scratch, pick or peel as your eyeliner heals.
You may resume wearing your contact lenses after the swelling has gone away completely.
It's ok to shower - water will not effect your PMU
Do not use mascara or any other eye makeup for 3 days! After 3 days, use a new tube of mascara to avoid secondary infection. Waterproof Mascara is not permanent cosmetic friendly! If you must use it, wait a month after your follow up visit. Use a gentle eye makeup remover.
No sauna, jacuzzi, swimming, sun beds, or false lashes for 2 weeks.
*IMPORTANT* No lash lifts or lash extensions until after TOUCH-UP is completely healed. Failure to follow this instruction will result in cancellation of your appointment and rescheduling until your lashes are back to it’s natural state.
If you choose not to get a touch-up, you may resume lash routines after healing is complete.
Safety precautions to keep in mind for all procedures considered:
*Swelling, redness, skin sensitivity and some minor bruising are normal side effects to the procedures but should subside in a day or two. How easily a person swells and bruises depends on factors such as their age, skin type, and circulation.
*If you suspect a problem is developing, the first thing to do is switch the the type of ointment you are using. The ointment is often causing the problem.
*Notify your permanent makeup artist or physician at first sign of allergic reaction or infection. An occasional slight healing itch is normal. Constant intense itching, abnormal thick yellow discharge, yellow crust, hot burning pain, lumps, bumps, and blisters are not normal.
*Following the recommended aftercare is important to heal safely and maximize color retention. A yearly maintenance is recommended to keep the color looking fresh.
The following for 7-14 days (healing time)
BE SURE TO THOROUGHLY WASH YOUR HANDS WHEN HANDLING YOUR EYEBROWS
3-6 hours after treatment, gently clean your eyebrows with saline solution or water and gentle soap (cetaphil) to remove all lymph and previously applied cream. Pat dry. Then apply a very thin layer of after cream. For oily skin, do not use wax the first 2 days. Product will be provided to you.
Repeat this procedure 2-3 times a day for 7 days or until brows have completed peeling.
Do not scratch, rub, or pick at your scabs as it will remove the implanted pigment underneath. It is very important you allow scabbing to flake off by itself.
-Direct sun exposure
-Make-up or products on eyebrows
-Sleeping on the face
-Excessive sweating from exercise/physical labor for at least 48 hours after treatment
-Light therapies, chemical peelings, fruit acids, microdermabrasions, and creams that contain regeneration factors for 30 days.
-No Retinols, AHA’s, exfoliating and laser treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, botox and any other strong treatments for 6-8 weeks after your procedure.
Please note: Smoking, sun exposure, excessive sweating, skin type (oily skin may cause implanted hair strokes to heal blurry), strong immune system and improper aftercare may cause the pigment to fade prematurely.
Only after no more scabbing may you resume your regular cleansing and makeup routine. Be sure to apply sunblock to protect from sun fading.
You may resume your growth enhancement products (Latisse, Revitabrow, Grande Lash) after you are fully healed.
The better you take care of the treated area and follow the provided aftercare, the better your results will be.
